JHH in the Community!

  • At "JHH Takes the Skies," dreams took flight as children with special needs embarked on a remarkable adventure in the clear blue skies. This heartwarming event, made possible by Flyquest in Huntsville, AL, and several generous sponsors, offered a unique opportunity for these young individuals to experience the thrill of flying in a real airplane. This event aimed to create a safe and inclusive environment for children with special needs, enabling them to explore the wonders of aviation, and encouraging a sense of wonder and empowerment that knows no bounds. We aimed to inspire the next generation by proving that the sky is not the limit but only the beginning of their limitless potential.


  • JHH in the Community 

    Step into the heart of community at the JHH booth during theCommunity  Health Fair hosted by LIFE Church Ministries. The JHH team was thrilled to share the mission of JHH and was committed to fostering a healthier, happier community. At our booth, there was valuable information, friendly faces, and complimentary gift bags that enhanced your knowledge of our organization and how we help others. Thank you for joining us at the Health Fair, where we built a stronger, healthier community together.

  • On September 23, 2023, two remarkable individuals, Gwen Artis, and Willard Brooks, proudly represented JHH as ambassadors at the North Alabama Adaptive Sports Disability Expo in Huntsville, AL. They set up an inviting booth that welcomed all attendees with warmth and enthusiasm. Displaying the JHH banner, they passed out literature, lapel pins, and refreshments.  Theresia Witherow, a recipient of JHH support, stopped by the booth in addition to other JHH supporters. Their dedication to our cause and their inspiring presence at the event truly showcased the heart of JHH. 

  • This event was hosted by JHH to support former board member Karen Bass who made a huge impact to Jamal's Helping Hands over the years and will never be forgotten.

  • In honor of Jamal’s Helping Hands five-year anniversary, we wanted to honor our community, our resilience, and our strength by hosting an anniversary BBQ.
